What is this? Uncle Sam's Comedy Jam is a 45 minute educational school show designed for elementary audiences. It's been finely honed in thousands of performances over 30 years. Now it's available as a license opportunity to school show performers looking to add a history show to their offerings and thousands of dollars to their bottom line.
Do I need special training or skills to present this show? This is a comedy show with 2 easy to learn magic tricks that are used to illustrate the lessons. Performers must have strong presentation skills, be energetic and have engaging personalities. Everything is taught in the script, online videos and through direct contact with Doug Scheer, the creator of this show.

Do schools want this show? One of the federal requirements that elementary schools must fulfill is teaching about The Constitution on Sept 17th every year. The weeks leading up to that date and the following weeks are ripe for this show and can be sold out by a savvy marketer. November around Veterans' Day, during elections, Presidents' Day, and the weeks surrounding Memorial Day are also popular times for this program.

What comes with the franchise? Everything needed to present this show is included in the license package. All the props, script, training videos, support documents and files (a teacher preview sheet and student take home review sheet), table cloth, road case and two portable side banners are included. (Please note: the backdrop seen in the photos below is an older set and not available).

The show arrives to your doorstep complete in an easy to carry travel case along with two small side banners in padded bags. Performers are responsible for the additional cost of purchasing their own costume and must have a digital music player (like a smart phone or tablet) for the music. No sound system, microphone, music remote, or amplifier is included. Upon request, schools will provide the tables and will usually allow performers to access to their house sound systems.

Do I get help with advertising and marketing?
Yes! You will be added to this UncleSamShow.com site with back links driving people to your company's website which helps with your personal site's SEO. You'll also receive a custom designed postcard file (see photo) that you can have printed anywhere. Schools rely on brochures and postcards to pick suitable assembly programs more than web searches. You are encouraged and responsible to advertise the show through any and all channels in your given licensed territory. Additionally, we work with a nationwide school show agency that books this show regularly. You will be included on their roster of performers for this show and may receive work from them. |

How big is my territory? Typical license areas cover approximately a 150+ mile radius of a performer's hometown. Due to internet marketing, limiting an advertising area is difficult. Overlapped regions will be shared with commissions and royalty payments negotiated between performers. For some larger states, areas will be divided according to state boundaries.
Do I need to dress up like Uncle Sam?
No, that's your choice, but it certainly adds to the fun and the spectacle. If you prefer to wear a patriotic suit or even a Betsy Ross costume that's fine. It's your show. Adjust it accordingly. I'll be happy to work with you on modifying the 2 or 3 lines in the script that will help this all make sense.
Can I preview the show before purchasing? In order to protect the current license owners we cannot provide a complete video of the show. Alternately, interested performers are welcome to attend a show to see the complete program live. Contact us for details.
